THE SUPERARTIST CURRICULUM

We've created the SuperArtist Curriculum based on the 10 Principles of Creativity for kids aged 5-9. Help us get the program into the communities that need it most!

Thanks to your support this year, we have been able to make great progress, sharing the 10 Principles of Creativity with others and spreading the Choose Creativity call to action.

We'd like to share some updates on the progress that we have made over the past year and how your generous support is being used to affect positive change. This spring, the Fund's Board worked through the next phases of strategy and implementation for ChooseCreativity.org. We believed that the SuperArtist curriculum was powerful and we wanted to figure out how we could best improve and deliver it. During that process, we heard from our community of stakeholders that these tools are valuable and needed during various times and circumstances in their lives and communities. We realized we had something special. That what we’d started – a memorial fund to honor Lulu & Leo – could now stand on its legs as a strong non-profit organization that helps others through whatever comes their way.

We’re thrilled to see the curriculum is working well in a variety of settings.

Some highlights:

  • Children’s Aid Society piloted the curriculum in the spring at C.S. 61 in the Bronx. It was so successful that C.S. 61 is expanding across more grades this year.

  • We are piloting part of our Creatologist curriculum this month at an event with our grantee partner Materials for the Arts.

  • The Greyston Learning Center in Yonkers used the curriculum in their summer camp.

  • We also want to highlight Shantwan Mines, who is using the curriculum with her homeschool co-op in Atlanta, Georgia -- the curriculum is a great fit for alternative learning situations like this.

One of our goals is to find great partners to help us scale the delivery of the curriculum. Children’s Aid Society was so excited about how the curriculum was working for them that they invited us to present to the Program Directors from their 20+ sites.

For these partners, we have a powerful offer – we’ll give you an excellent ready-to-go and flexible curriculum along with the training and the materials, at no cost, with only an ask of data and feedback in return. Your support makes this kind of generous and compelling offer possible.
