Challenge #20 — SuperArtist Dandelion Doodles
Calling All SuperArtists!!!! Our latest challenge is inspired by this blank slate — a perfectly sanded and primed upright piano that is being prepared by our piano illustrator Patricia Espinosa to hit NYC, SuperArtist style, in June!!! We just keep getting more and more inspiration from this piano project!!! Your SuperArtist challenge is to create a pageful of dandelion doodles. We want to see your dandelions in all different styles — realistic and abstract dandelions, giant and mini, minimalist and extra detailed, maybe even a dandelion using pointillism. Like snowflakes, we like to believe that no two dandelions are the same, so you’ll really need to get those creative juices flowing! To Begin — Close your eyes and remember what a dandelion looks like. Check your backyard or park to see if you can even collect a few to study! Materials — For these simple dandelion doodles, let’s keep it super simple and use white paper and a fine black pen or pencil. That way, we can focus on the details of each little seed. Fill up your page to be like a blooming dandelion field in Spring!!!! Wow us (and our piano illustrator Patricia who surely would appreciate some inspiration!) with your dandelions, SuperArtist! Snap a photo of your dandelion doodles and post to our SA gallery @lululeofund on Instagram.*
