Challenge #27 -- SuperArtist Alphabet Treasure Hunt
Calling All SuperArtists!!! This challenge is inspired by some kindergarten basics as we all head back to school in the next few weeks. Your SuperArtist challenge is to embark on an alphabet treasure hunt. Snap photos of individual alphabet letters you find around town that catch your eye. An emerald green letter S stamped on a vintage bike seat, a bold fuschia N lining the side of a building or these double L's outside the San Francisco Public Library (photo by Christina, mom of SuperArtist Lyra) -- eye-catching letters are everywhere!!! To Begin -- Be present -- this means, start admiring details in your world you may not normally notice when you are hurrying from place to place. Once you start seeing the world as it really is, with the observant eyes of a photographer, you are ready to begin your letter hunt. Materials -- You will need a digital or phone camera (borrowed or your own) for this challenge. When you've spotted an interesting letter, experiment with different ways of capturing the image with your camera. You may tilt your camera from side to side or zoom in or out. You may be attracted to the style of the letter, its color, the background surface or setting. You may even find and photograph a letter that is not actually a letter - that counts too!!! Together, SuperArtists, let's see if we can complete the entire alphabet with our photos!!! Post your letter photos to our SA gallery @lululeofund on Instagram.*
